Kofuku Station in Hokkaido was in operation from 1956 until 1987. It's probably Japan's best known former railway station.

Kofuku can be translated as "happiness". So who wouldn't want to buy a ticket to Happiness?
As I was leaving, two coach loads of tourists arrived. It's certainly a big draw to the area and is a vital piece of the local economy.
